So, this is horrible. I know people have decided to take such a fetus to term in order to have enough body-mass to bury. It’s hardly something the STATE should force on people.

Add to this, that this sort of state enforced restriction of the extremely personal aspects of our lives is being demanded from some people (in the U.S. at least) who think that a fetus feels pain at 20 weeks (which they don’t).

Now, think really hard and take those two facts and mix them up in your brain until they integrate with one another. Now, add the fact that a fetus does gain the ability to feel pain somewhere along the way.

Rinse and repeat.

Now, I really don’t want to draw you a picture, but if you have any doubt about what my underlying point is here, search for “fetal abnormalities” and then imagine being kept alive for a couple weeks in that state.

This is just yet another example of the fact that, for some political “pro-life” proponents, it’s not even about the life of a fetus needing to be protected.  It is JUST about telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies and disregarding the lives of pregnant people, even when the decision to abort saves a fetus from the possibility of extraordinary suffering.
